RPIA Communications

RPIA utilizes a radio system that allows for dispatching from the Rensselaer County Emergency Communications Center, located in Troy, New York. If an ambulance call is called in to RPI Public Safety, they contact the county’s dispatching center to send us to the scene. We also have our own radio system for use during events/standby coverage, as well as organizing crews to respond to day calls.
